Hanging Out in the Front Lawn

We welcomed our first "slightly cool" front this past weekend.

It was the first day since last spring that it was pleasant to sit outside without wiping a single bead of sweat from our brows.

I sat on a picnic blanket with Caroline and Ellie while we watched and provided encouragement for Blake as he fixed some sprinklers in the front yard.

Truth be told, though, the girls were having such a great time and did not want to budge off the blanket for fear of touching the grass, that I could have actually walked away and been productive.

Oh well....I'll know that for next time!  hehe  :)

These girls were just having a great time.  Our neighbors across the street came over and hung out with us.  We absolutely enjoy all the people and families that live around us.  We feel like we hit the jackpot when we found our home 2-1/2 years ago.

This was a fun Sunday afternoon.  It makes us want to hang out on the front yard more often...

if for no other reason than being able to enjoy the company of such wonderful neighbors.

Ellie
And, well, let's be honest....so that we can show off the cuteness to everyone who passes by.

Caroline
I have no shame.
